If you are using the same image in different places and different spaces on your website, eventually you are going to run into the need to crop an image so it fits better in one application. You could always make a separate version of the image, cropping it as you wish, but you can also crop images in their appearance using CSS. That's the topic of this Watch Me Work live stream.

  • The video is about using CSS to crop images on a Joomla website.
    - The video is part of the "Watch Me Work" live stream series on the Basic Joomla Tutorials YouTube channel.
    - The video is sponsored by mysites.guru, offering a free audit for your site and a coupon code for a free first month of subscription.
    - The speaker, Tim Davis, is going to demonstrate how to use CSS to fix image cropping issues on a Joomla site.
    - He mentions the use of the JCE editor for applying classes to images and installing the "Dummy Content" extension to insert random text for testing.
    - The video discusses two methods for cropping images: using the "object fit" CSS property and adjusting the width, height, and overflow properties of the image container.
    - Tim provides a step-by-step guide on how to implement these methods within Joomla and demonstrates the process using an example image.
